Tarsney, T.J.:
AN APPEAL TO REASON. A PLEA FOR GOLD AND SILVER-NOT ONE BUT BOTH...BY T.J. TARSNEY, ESQ., OF THE COLORADO BAR.
] Hutt & Casey., [Durango, Colorado?:, 1897
58, [6] pp. Original printed wrappers [light dustsoiling, chipping at spine; contemporary ink notations on front wrap: "From A.M. Poston Chairman Board of County Commissioners, Mancos...Montezuma Co. Colo."]. Lightly tanned, Good+. The inner wrappers provide a description of Montezuma County, the Mancos Valley, the Town of Mancos, the Dolores Valley, the Montezuma Valley, and the Town of Cortez. The text argues for the coinage of both gold and silver and attacks the Act of 1873, which "demonetized silver," for destroying "one-half of the metallic money of the United States." Tarsney discusses the election of 1896, among other subjects, and the distortions practiced by advocates of the gold standard. FIRST EDITION. OCLC 20402052 [1]. Not in Eberstadt, Decker, Graff, Soliday.
