Park, Rev. James:

THE HISTORY OF THE FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, IN KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE. A DISCOURSE BY...PASTOR ELECT DELIVERED BEFORE THE CONGREGATION, ON SABBATH, JULY 2, 1876 SYNOD OF NASHVILLE, PRESBYTERY OF KNOXVILLE.

Ramage & Co, Printers and Book Binders, Knoxville, Tennessee: 1876 Original printed wrappers, stitched, 29pp Errata slip Ink inscription on front wrap by 'JP': "Corrected Copy. Keep this copy in the package and correct others by it before giving them out." Several text corrections, presumably in Park's hand. Very Good. Reverend Park says his sources for this discourse include himself, having been "born and bred in the congregation;" the recollections of old-timers; and printed books and records. He provides a detailed chronological history of the Church in Knoxville. NUC says, "Corrections tipped in preceding t-p." This was probably the copy from which those corrections were made. FIRST EDITION. Not in Eberstadt, Decker. 442 NUC 0096687 [10].
