Very Good, bound in later marbled boards and three-quarter morocco [lightly chipped], with title stamped in gilt on front cover. Whittelsey is lauded as an "apostolic minister, who, having fought a good fight and kept the faith, hath finished his course." Dana says that Whittelsey "wished not to exceed seventy years." Dana urges the bereft congregation "to avoid divisions" and to "continue, as in years past, like a city compact together." FIRST EDITION. Evans 20316.
