Though known by different names, the disease is named for its appearance "on board emigrant ships, in the quarantine hospitals, and among emigrants newly arrived from Europe." Dr. Clark distinguishes the disease and its manifestations from typhoid fever, with which it frequently has been confused. FIRST EDITION. Sabin 13297n. Not in Eberstadt, Decker.
