Missouri and other States must also take steps to discover "their extent of the mineral and agricultural resources." Prout reviews Missouri's "history of our own mining operations," warns against "improvident waste of the resources provided by nature," urges support for and efficiency in the mining industry, and emphasizes the benefits thereof to the agricultural and other business of the State.
