Ink signature at head of title. Minor foxing, a bit of fading. Good+. Greeley published this Whig paper in 1840-1841, supporting William Henry Harrison's candidacy for the presidency. This issue has front page woodcut illustrations, "Old Fort Defiance" and "Gen. Wayne's Camp on the Maumbee." Numerous articles including a report on Gen. Wayne's victory, the Sub-Treasury, a continuing biography of Harrison [including discussion of his Indian Council meeting in 1813], those wacky Loco-Focos, Dr. Channing's continuing article "Elevation of the Laboring Classes", and "The Song of Fort Meigs.
