Light tanning, occasional spotting. Numerous closed tears, mostly along creases from previous folding. Short closed tears and chips at main fold, some chipping of outer edges. Tears enter and affect text without actual loss. A bit brittle, else Good. Local news and many advertisements are included. Civil War news includes articles on the planned organization of the the "Corps d'Afrique"; discussions of black regiments; Colonel Montgomery and his colored troops; a procession into New Orleans on May 30th of 6000 negroes, wagons, mules, etc.; intelligence report on Colonel Billy Rogers, former Indian Agent for the Shoshone tribes, and his findings on a recent excursion; Lieut. Col. Davis' cavalry raid in Virginia.
