SWAGGERING FARMERS [and] SUSANNAH DON'T YOU CRY.

Durham [England]: ca. 1850. Broadside, 25 x 19cm. Decorative border. Very Good or better. Text of two popular verses of the day, the latter in its original version-- reflecting the casual racism of the time-- before Disney et al cleaned it up. The former pokes fun at uppity farmers living beyond their means in a laughable effort to achieve upward mobility. The two printed side by side.
