Gilbert touts the reliability and superiority of his Balance Dock, its durability and advantages, its mode of construction, with testimonials from experts. These include affidavits and memorials from ship owners, engineers, commodores [including Charles Stewart]. The final 23 pages repeat the first 23, and have been stitched in, perhaps, to provide an extra for Professor Johnson.
