"This conspiracy's object is to build up the South at the expense of the North, and to get revenge for the Lost Cause. Sectional advantage boldly characterizes the whole measure." Adding New York and a couple of other States to the electoral column, dominated by the Solid South, will deliver the country to the Democrats in the upcoming election.
