Watson informs on the financial condition of Great Britain. He cheerfully agrees to pay more taxes in order to reduce the national debt and finance the war with France. Gaines says William Cobbett's account book "records sales of 347 copies" for 25 cents each. Kress says the first edition issued from Dublin during the same year.
