THE CONDUCT OF THE ADMINISTRATION. REPRINTED FROM THE BOSTON DAILY ADVERTISER AND PATRIOT.

Boston: 1832. 86pp, stitched, untrimmed and partly uncut. Contemporary plain wrappers [some soil, front wrap detached]. Lightly dusted, Very Good.

An anti-Jackson campaign pamphlet, arguing that "General Jackson was, and is, utterly disqualified by his personal character and previous military career for the office President:- that his election was the result of the intrigues of political leaders" who employed means of "false pretences and personal slander." His policy of Indian removal "is the darkest chapter in our history." Indeed, Everett finds nothing worthy of praise in the first Jackson administration.
