A catalogue of atrocities committed by the pro-slavery Lecompton government against the Free Staters headquartered at Lawrence, including eye-witness accounts of the burning of Lawrence by the "brutal and ungovernable mob of lawless invaders." Opponents of these crimes are urged to vote against the Buchanan Democrats in November.
The last page lists the Republican Association's campaign documents for the election of 1856, the first presidential campaign contested by the Republicans. Some of the pamphlets may be obtained "in the German Language."
