New York: Julius Bien, 1876. 30" x 47", full color, legends on either side of map, two geological cross sections directly beneath map. Title at head of map. Mounted on cloth, folds to 6.5" x 7.5", stiff marbled paper attached so as to make front and back covers [one 6.5" x 7.5" section containing front cover detached but present, section containing bottom right corner of map and back cover on its verso is missing], two labels on front cover with manuscript 'Nevada Basin.' Missing section of map contained Park Valley. Cloth folds beginning to fray and split, but holding. Chip at blank right edge of map [no text loss]. The map is from the Fortieth Parallel Geographical Exploration under King. Item #22977
