Bramhall was the first curator of the American Numismatic Society, which was formed in 1858. He was obviously a formidable collector. This catalogue describes his American colonial, silver, copper, and other coins, medalets, political tokens, and advertising tokens; as well as a variety of foreign coins, in 595 lots. This auction catalogue is rare: OCLC locates only the copy at the New York Public Library.
