The founding documents of a mutual protection society formed "for the purpose of using all proper and legal means to recover stolen horses and mules and to prosecute horse thieves to conviction." A 'Historical Sketch' of the organization, founded in 1856, is included. Terms of membership, duties of members and officers, and lists of officers and members as of 1889 are printed. I have found no record of this society or any of its doings.
