This is Miller's first guide book, a compendious and profusely illustrated guide to the City, covering virtually everything about New York and Brooklyn, with many advertisements.
Despite the title's promise of a map, none appears here and the index of Illustrations does not list one. However, the copies at Yale and the New York Public Library do include a map. The promised illustration of the Merchants' Exchange is not included.
