The Tabor Grand Opera House was erected in 1881. This program contains updates on performers, anecdotes and poems, and advertisements of local businesses and sponsors, many illustrated. Some of the performers discussed are Effie Ellsler, a well known actress and daughter of famous actor John Ellsler; Patti Nicolini, a famous opera singer, and her husband Signor Nicolini, a well-known operatic tenor; Robert Mantell, a Shakespearean actor; Eugene Field, a writer of opera and poetry, among other talents.
