Engraved headpiece of David and his harp above the first Psalm and several fine engraved initials in text. Rebound in quarter leather with brown cloth boards, gilt lettered spine labels and raised spine bands, new endpapers, red fore-edges. The illustration of David and his harp above the first Psalm is by Gérard Audran (1640 - 1703). Audran, originally from Lyon, was considered one of the greatest French engravers of his time.
