The Code presents material on the organization of the State, Municipalities, and Counties; police and sanitary regulations, commercial statutes, education and religion, a detailed code for slaves and free Negroes, civil procedure [blacks and Indians barred from testifying, "except for or against each other"], proceedings in chancery and criminal cases, jails and punishments, an Appendix of forms and rules. A very detailed index and a table of contents are included.
