SPEECH OF HON. JOHN L. DAWSON, OF PENNSYLVANIA, DELIVERED AT A DEMOCRATIC MASS MEETING IN NEW GENEVA, FAYETTE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, SEPTEMBER 1, 1860.

Washington: Globe Office, 1867. 11, [1 blank] pp. Disbound, clean text. Very Good.

Dawson campaigned in 1860 as a National Democrat favoring Senator Stephen A. Douglas for the Presidency. His speech defends Douglas's position on slavery. This appears to be the only printing of his speech; I surmise that it was printed upon his retirement from Congress in 1867.
