The Medical Society of the State of New York was organized in 1807, pursuant to the New York Legislature's Act to "incorporate Medical Societies, for the purpose of regulating the practice of physic and surgery..." This pamphlet records its first meeting in February 1807. The Society there elected officers and adopted bylaws. The pamphlet also records the Society's doings at its next gatherings in February 1808 and 1809. A list of attendees is printed, along with a detailed description of the busy sessions, which included measures designed to regulate the medical profession. President M'Clelland's Address is printed.
Sabin 53765 [ref.]. Not in American Imprints. OCLC's entries are unfortunately difficult to decipher, but it appears that this pamphlet is very scarce. Item #30913
