Edinburgh: Printed for John Robertson... 1817. 50pp, disbound, with a lightly foxed plate frontis of the Reverend, "from a Sketch made during the trial." Else Very Good.
The Reverend had allegedly, "in the course of divine worship," spoken "wicked, slanderous, false and seditious assertions and remarks" about His Majesty, the Prince Regent, the House of Commons, "and of the administration of justice within the kingdom." Evidently he had "made a simile of George the Third to Nebuchadnezzar, and of the Prince Regent to Belshazzar." The jury acquitted him.
