Molesworth pronounces upon an 1854 proclamation regarding naval prizes: in the case of prizes taken by any vessel under British command, the flag officer or officers would have a 1-20th part of the net proceeds.
Sir William Molesworth [1810-1855], a radical English politician, was a Member of Parliament from 1832-1855. He started the London Review in 1835, purchased the Westminster Review in 1836, and combined the two; he transferred ownership to John Stuart Mill just one year later.
