William Duppa Crotch [1832-1903] was an entomologist and zoologist from Shrewsbury, England. He and his brother George R. Crotch were both connected with New College in Oxford, and they went on several collecting expeditions looking for new species. William had a great interest in evolution and was a regular correspondent with Charles Darwin. Item #36284
