Riese's Oath is acknowledged by J.B. Shivers, Justice of the Peace for Perry County, Alabama. The pre-printed oath states "I will hereafter faithfully defend the Constitution of the United States and the Union of the States thereunder." Shivers, who was also judge of probate for Perry County, has added the phrase "support protect &" after the printed "faithfully." Item #36877
