"Mines include: Birtie, Bowne, Nuggett, Elroy, Early Dawn, Morning Star, Surprise, Smuggler located in Lake Creek Gulch on the north slope of Twin Peaks, 3-1/2 miles from Twin Lakes and 20 miles south of Leadville, in the Twin Lake Mining District, Colorado.
