Original printed and illustrated wrappers [front wrapper nearly detached; two blank margin chips on rear wrapper], stitched. 96pp. Occasional minor foxing. Very Good. With ownership signature on front wrapper, "Hon. G. Tibbits," perhaps George Tibbits [1763-1849], former Federalist New York Congressman and Mayor of Troy, New York.

The final issue appeared in February 1834. This first Number's Introduction explains that the Society wishes "to enlarge its sphere of influence" by publishing this Quarterly, "exclusively devoted to the objects of the Society." The pamphlet prints articles on temperance reform in America, a poem "On the sale of Ardent Spirit by Christians," the pathology of drunkenness, medical effects of the use of liquor, etc.
